What the 14-day buyer guarantee actually covers

The basic promise

If a lot arrives materially different from how it was listed — misrepresented condition, wrong item, or a problem a reasonable description should have disclosed — you can file a claim within 14 days of delivery.

How to file one

Go to the listing page for the item you won and look for the guarantee section — it shows whether the claim window is still open and lets you describe the issue directly. Every claim is reviewed by hand; you don't need to contact the seller first.

What it isn't

It's not a change-of-mind return policy — auction lots are sold as described, and the guarantee exists for when the description and the item genuinely don't match, not for buyer's remorse. Every listing already goes through automated fraud and quality screening before it's live, and flagged items are held for human review rather than published — the guarantee is the backstop for what still slips through.

Shipping costs and customs

Shipping is arranged directly by the seller at rates shown before you bid. Cross-border orders may attract import VAT or customs duties charged by the courier on delivery — that's separate from anything Gemsza collects, and isn't something the guarantee covers, since it isn't a fault with the item.
